A lot of people like to drink a glass of water or two right away after eating food. But actually, doctors recommend not to drink any water right after eating food or anything because, if you drink water it dilutes the acids in the stomach, making it a bit difficult for digestion. They also suggest drinking at least 3 liters of water per day. However, one should not drink water as soon as they finish eating their food, but, one should drink water at least half an hour after finishing eating food. This will help in better digestion.
If we drink water soon after we eat something, it will dilute the stomach acids that are released to digest the food we ate. So, as a result, the food will remain undigested and leads to acidity, gas troubles and other digestion problems. Not only that but in doing so, there are also chances of accumulation of fat in our body and increase in weight. So, even if it is a bit hard, try not to drink any water until half an hour after you eat something.
